About Kepa Software
Kepa Software was established in 2020 to develop a ground-breaking SaaS tool that embodied its founder’s hard-won portfolio prioritization knowledge and skill, representing the learnings of a combined seventy years of providing consulting services to large government agencies and commercial organisations.
Kepa Software is the author of AppO, a world-leading technology, breaking down very complex decisions into small pragmatic and realizable steps, which vastly simplifies and accelerates the decision process. It uses low-volume data that is likely already available within the business’ governance processes to produce what AI currently cannot. AppO can model all proposed investments in an entire multi-national or government and, to date, has been applied predominantly to select and prioritise business transformation and asset management portfolios but has also excelled at supporting strategy development, and making general business decisions.
Theoretically AppO could be used as a universal investment decision tool covering all asset classes at the same time comparing each potential investment against all others, however, it has not yet been fully demonstrated to prioritise all potential investment decisions within a corporation or agency in a real-world situation.
Our Founders
Patricia Brennan – With a background in clinical psychology, Patricia had a long history of working in organizational psychology and organizational change. Unfortunately Patricia passed away in October 2024 without realising hers and Ken’s dreams of their product used worldwide. She is sorely missed by all who knew her.
Ken Garrard – Ken’s career started in information technology and grew into I.T. leadership and business transformation and then to broad-based business consulting.
Ken is one of the world’s thought leaders in business portfolio prioritisation and management, with forty years’ experience leading very large and very complex portfolios of business transformation, and asset management, within both listed corporations and Australian government agencies.
Ken has applied his formal business management and finance education, his experience of leading B2B and B2C businesses, and his transformation knowledge and experience with decision science, mathematical theory, and finance and investment knowledge, to create a unique business prioritisation tool, AppO.
Both our founders have worked at senior levels in Tier 1 consulting firms providing advice on business transformation and have been recognised for their customer service and their knowledge across all of strategy development, portfolio, program and project management, organisational change, and benefits management.
We seek to be a global leader helping enterprises and government to maximise the outcomes of investment decisions by reducing costs, and aligning strategy, portfolio delivery and operations (through the world leading portfolio optimisation platform).
